October 12^th, 2000 : 5 years ago today, the USS Cole was attacked.
... Please observe a moment of silence for our murdered sailors.

In memory of : Joe Burke Royal, aka Rev Joe.
... He passed quietly, peacefully on October 8^th, 2005 after a 2 year battle with MDS.
... He was an inspiration to us all, a man who served God and Country as we all should. He will be missed.
... We just got back from his memorial service, very touching. (and cause of limited evening blogation)
... As a sidenote - he officiated our wedding, and for that we will always be personally grateful.
